Therefore, kapok is an obvious choice to create a safe and allergy-friendly sleeping environment. Kapok contains a bitter substance that makes the fiber resistant to bacteria and dust mites. Additionally, kapok is breathable yet water-repellent, which means a kapok mattress will never become damp. Bacteria and dust mites need a moist environment to thrive, and therefore cannot live in kapok. If your child tends to get very warm at night, kapok is a fantastic choice. Unlike a regular foam mattress, which is not breathable, kapok fiber is both breathable, temperature-regulating, and sweat-wicking. Therefore, kapok is good at transporting excess heat away from the child's body.

Our kapok is 100% untreated. This means we have not used pesticides, chemicals, or synthetic fibers during the cultivation, processing, or production of our kapok baby mattress. Additionally, the mattress is covered with 100% organic certified cotton.
