Getting a good night's sleep is important for our health. Especially for newborns and babies who sleep 12-15 hours a day! MAINTENANCE OF YOUR KAPOK MATTRESS

As with all mattresses, it is a good idea to stand the mattress on its side occasionally to air it out. If you have a bed with a solid base, you should be particularly attentive to airing the mattress regularly. These bed bases make it harder to transport moisture away from the mattress. Kapok transports moisture and heat away from the child, but if the moisture cannot escape from the bottom of the mattress, it gets trapped between the mattress and the solid base. In the worst case, mold spores can form under the mattress. Unfortunately, this can happen regardless of which mattress is used. Therefore, air the mattress once a week, or as needed.
