The cornfiber has a long and hollow fiber structure, similar to a wool fiber, which gives the cornfiber its unique temperature-regulating properties. The cornfiber is also water-repellent and ensures that excess heat and moisture are led through the pillow instead of being absorbed. Our corn fiber is the first man-made fiber made from a 100% recyclable resource. The cornfiber is made from lactic acid, which is extracted from the plant sugar in the corn plant's starch during its fermentation process. Therefore, the cornfiber contains only naturally biodegradable and recyclable raw materials, which can either be recycled or broken down into organic material. The cornfiber is our green response to today's synthetic and oil-based plastic fibers, which cannot be naturally degraded and are not recycled enough, thus burdening the planet.
