A good nursing pillow is crucial for a successful start to breastfeeding for both mother and baby. Our kapok pillow is filled with 100% organic and untreated kapok, covered with certified organic cotton fabric. No pesticides, chemicals, or synthetic fibers are used in the processing and production of a Cocoon kapok nursing pillow.

WHAT IS KAPOK?

Kapok is an organic fiber derived from the kapok tree, which grows wild in some of the world's densest tropical rainforests. The lightness of the kapok fiber makes the kapok pillow excellent for regulating heat. The fiber does not absorb sweat from the body, preventing a damp pillow. Instead, the kapok fiber transports moisture away from the pillow and the body. Therefore, you will find that a kapok baby pillow remains dry and comfortable throughout the night.

Since the kapok fiber does not absorb moisture from the body, dust mites cannot live in the duvet. Dust mites require a moist environment to survive. A kapok pillow is therefore an excellent choice for dust mite allergy sufferers. As dust mites can cause allergies in children, a kapok pillow can be a great choice as a first pillow for the child. The kapok fiber also contains a bitter substance that makes the duvet resistant to other mites.
