What is a Mattress Protector? Both big and small can have accidents in bed, and here the mattress protector is a good discreet solution. In the development of Cocoon's mattress protector, it was therefore crucial that the layer should be breathable and comfortable to lie on. This was achieved by covering our unique breathable membrane with the finest fabric of 100% untreated cotton flannel. The unique membrane prevents liquid from penetrating to the mattress while allowing the body to breathe through the sheet. Washing the Mattress Protector It's easy and simple to wash Cocoon's mattress protector. However, we recommend that you only wash your sheet if necessary, to protect the environment. The mattress protector is 100% Oeko-Tex certified, which means that the sheet does not contain residues of harmful chemicals that need to be washed away before use. We recommend washing the sheet at 40 degrees, or a maximum of 60 degrees in case of accidents. Preferably choose a wash program for heavy laundry, as the sheet can become heavy when washed, and therefore some washing machines may have difficulty spinning the sheet. If it has not been possible to spin the water out during the first spin cycle, we recommend an extra spin. Note that the sheet can shrink up to 8-10%.
