The story behind the well-known Juno bed began back in 1942, when Viggo Einfeldt designed the bed, which quickly became known as the "lille Per" bed. The Juno bed quickly gained popularity and has today become a Danish design icon. After Viggo Einfeldt's death, Sebra Interior resumed production of the bed, but under the name the Sebra Kili bed and today simply under the name the Sebra bed. Over time, adjustments have been made to the bed, and as the design classic is often passed down, you can still find all three variants. However, they can be very difficult to distinguish, making it challenging to determine which model you have and thus which mattress to choose. There are still some small design differences that allow us to help you find out whether you have the Juno bed, the Sebra Kili bed, or the Sebra bed.
Juno bed: The original "lille Per" bed, also called the Juno bed, can be recognized by its legs extending over the bed edge. This means that the original Juno bed does not have a smooth bed edge but has 4 rounded tops that protrude over the bed edge. Shop for the Juno bed.
Sebra Kili bed: If you have a Sebra Kili bed, you can recognize it by the plexiglass around the slats on the end panels, which the Sebra bed does not have.
Sebra bed: The Sebra bed is currently produced by Sebra Interior. It resembles the Juno bed and the Sebra Kili bed, but it has a smooth bed edge and no plexiglass. If you have purchased a brand new bed from a retailer, then it is the Sebra bed you have acquired. Shop for the Sebra bed, Baby & Jr.
