The kapok fiber is known for its temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking properties. When you sleep on a kapok mattress, your bed will neither become damp, cold, nor too warm. MAINTENANCE OF YOUR KAPOK MATTRESS

If you have a bed with a solid base, you should be particularly attentive to airing the mattress regularly. These bed bases make it harder to transport moisture away from the mattress. Kapok transports moisture and heat away from the child, but if the moisture cannot escape from the bottom of the mattress, it gets trapped between the mattress and the solid base. In the worst case, this can lead to mold spores forming under the mattress. Unfortunately, this can happen regardless of the mattress used. Therefore, air the mattress once a week or as needed.
