A kapok mattress pad is a great addition to any mattress - whether you have a foam, latex, or kapok mattress. If you tend to get too warm at night, it might be an idea not only to change your duvet but also to use a kapok mattress pad on top of your existing mattress. Foam and latex mattresses are not very breathable or good at temperature regulation, and therefore they can contribute to you getting too warm at night. Therefore, it might be an idea to add a moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating base to your bed.

To preserve the fibre structure and its properties as best as possible, we recommend only washing your kapok product if absolutely necessary. Your Cocoon kapok products have not been dyed or treated with chemicals, so there is no need to wash your new kapok product before use.
Kapok also contains a natural bitter substance, which makes the fibre, and therefore the products, naturally resistant to house dust mites and many bacteria. For this reason, it is rarely necessary to wash your kapok product unless a major accident has occurred in bed. For minor stains, we recommend spot cleaning only.
We recommend airing your kapok product from time to time to maintain a healthy and fresh sleeping environment.
