SEA SPONGES FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN

The world's finest and softest sea sponges
Sea sponges from the Mediterranean are considered some of the world's finest and softest sea sponges. Sea sponges are incredibly hygienic, making them suitable for sensitive skin. We offer three varieties: silk sponge, honeycomb, and honeycomb wool.

Gentle and natural well-being
Sea sponges grow on the sea floor and come in many different shapes, colors, and sizes. They have numerous channels through which the sponge absorbs oxygen and nutrients, brought to them by ocean currents. Our bath sponges come from the Mediterranean, where they grow at depths of 15-60 meters. Fishermen dive down and harvest a small part of the sponge, allowing the root of the sea sponge to continue growing on the sea floor. Sponges from the Mediterranean are considered the best you can get because they live in colder and deeper waters, making them more robust than others. 

The expected lifespan of a bath sponge from the Mediterranean is 2-4 years with regular maintenance. There are many advantages to using a natural bath sponge instead of a synthetic one. For example, a natural bath sponge has an excellent channel structure, making it very easy to clean and therefore incredibly hygienic. A synthetic bath sponge is difficult to remove all soap residues from, and it will quickly accumulate bacteria. Another advantage of choosing a natural bath sponge is that it is incredibly soft and gentle on the skin, making it suitable for sensitive skin and small children. Note that a natural bath sponge needs to be wet before it becomes soft and pleasant.
