Breathable mattress protector that fits the Chicco Next2Me bedside crib. The mattress protector is made from a unique fabric of 100% Oeko-Tex cotton flannel with a biodegradable membrane. The unique membrane prevents liquid from seeping through to the mattress, while allowing the body to breathe through the fabric. The mattress protector has elastics at the ends that attach around the corners of the mattress. Breathable Mattress Protector for Next2Me

Are you a mom or dad? Then you are surely familiar with the many accidents that can occur both in the crib, carrycot, or pram. Accidents like bedwetting, spit-up, etc., can make the baby mattress quite dirty. Later, when the child is learning to sleep without a diaper, it's also quite normal for accidents to happen in bed. Here, a mattress protector is a great supplement. What is a Mattress Protector?

Both big and small can have accidents in bed, and here the mattress protector is a good discreet solution. Cocoon's mattress protector is placed on top of the mattress and under the regular bed sheet to achieve the best comfort for the child. The mattress protector for larger mattresses is secured with elastics around the corners of the mattress. This way, the sheet stays well in place throughout the night. The mattress protectors for smaller mattresses, where the child does not move much, i.e., crib, pram, and carrycot, are without elastics.

The challenge with regular mattress protectors is that the body cannot breathe through the waterproof layer. Many therefore find it not very comfortable to sleep on a mattress protector. In the development of Cocoon's mattress protector, it was therefore crucial that the underlay should be breathable and comfortable to lie on. This has been achieved by covering our unique breathable membrane with the finest fabric of 100% untreated cotton flannel. The unique membrane prevents liquid from seeping through to the mattress, while allowing the body to breathe through the sheet.

Washing the Mattress Protector

It is easy and simple to wash Cocoon's mattress protector. However, we recommend that you only wash your sheet if necessary, to protect the environment. The mattress protector is 100% Oeko-Tex certified, which means that the sheet does not contain residues of harmful chemicals that need to be washed away before use.

We recommend washing the sheet at 40 degrees, or a maximum of 60 degrees in case of accidents. Preferably choose a wash program for heavy laundry, as the sheet can become heavy when washed, and therefore some washing machines may have difficulty spinning the sheet. If it has not been possible to spin out the water in the first spin cycle, we recommend extra spinning. Note that the sheet can shrink by up to 8-10%.

The mattress protector should be air-dried and must not be tumble dried.

We guarantee a 100% organic product that has not seen the shadow of either synthetic fibers, pesticides, or chemicals! We find that many manufacturers use chemicals to produce a nice white cotton fabric. We do not. We want to be better than that. When you buy a Cocoon product, you are assured a chemical-free product.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

The fitted sheet is durable and can be washed at 60 degrees. Since we have not used chemicals or synthetic fibers in the production of our sheet, we recommend that you use a gentle and chemical-free detergent for your sheet. This way, you ensure that your sheet remains 100% organic. You can, for example, use our soapberries, which are a 100% natural detergent.

Getting a good night's sleep is important for our health. Therefore, we believe it is important to find the sleep products that suit the child's preferences and needs. When you choose sleep products filled with kapok fibers, you are guaranteed a pleasantly tempered and dry night's sleep, with both an organic and hypoallergenic product. To give your child the best possible comfort during sleep, you can choose to add a kapok mattress pad to your kapok junior mattress. A kapok mattress is firm. But if you want to add a little extra softness and comfort, a kapok mattress pad is an excellent choice. To protect your kapok mattresses, we recommend using our organic jersey sheet. The fitted sheet is woven from 100% organic cotton without the addition of synthetic fibers. MAINTENANCE OF YOUR KAPOK MATTRESS

As with all mattresses, it is a good idea to stand the mattress on its side occasionally to air it out. If you have a bed with a solid base, you should be particularly careful to air the mattress regularly. These bed bases make it harder to transport moisture away from the mattress. Kapok transports moisture and heat away from the child, but if the moisture cannot escape from the bottom of the mattress, it gets trapped between the mattress and the solid base. In the worst case, this can lead to mold spores forming under the mattress. Unfortunately, this can happen with any mattress used. Therefore, air the mattress once a week or as needed.

GET A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP WITH A KAPOK MATTRESS PAD

A kapok mattress pad is a great addition to any mattress - whether you have a foam, latex, or kapok mattress. If you tend to get too warm at night, it might be an idea not only to change your duvet but also to use a kapok mattress pad on top of your existing mattress. Foam and latex mattresses are not very breathable or good at temperature regulation, which can contribute to overheating at night. Therefore, it might be an idea to add a moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating base to your bed.

The mattress pad quickly reaches body temperature, but once it becomes warm, it remains body-neutral due to the fiber's airy structure. The airy structure of the kapok fiber is also why the kapok mattress pad can wick moisture and regulate temperature. A kapok mattress pad can therefore ensure that you do not get too warm and stay dry throughout the night.

Due to kapok's airy structure, the fiber does not absorb moisture but instead transports it through its fibers. This way, your mattress pad stays dry all night. Another advantage is that this property makes the kapok fiber resistant to, among other things, dust mites, as mites can only live in a humid environment.
