An organic and hypoallergenic mattress

A Kapok LUX mattress for combi pram is the best alternative to a regular foam mattress if you want a hypoallergenic and chemical-free mattress for your combi pram. The combi pram mattress is filled with our organic natural fiber, called kapok, and covered with organically certified cotton. The mattress measures 34x78 but the size may vary slightly, as our mattresses are filled and sewn by hand. The difference between the regular kapok mattress for combi pram and this LUX version is the thickness. This LUX mattress is thicker and softer, providing a fantastic luxurious feel to the combi pram.

Hypoallergenic

Kapok contains a natural bitter substance, which makes the fiber resistant to bacteria and dust mites

Organic

Our kapok duvets and pillows are filled with untreated kapok, with a cover of 100% organically certified cotton.

Temperature regulating

Due to the fiber's fantastic breathability, you will achieve a wonderfully temperature-regulated night's sleep

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE KAPOK...

The kapok fiber is known for its temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking properties. When you sleep on a kapok mattress, your bed will neither become damp, cold, nor too warm. A kapok mattress is therefore especially suitable for infants. Newborns have difficulty regulating their temperature themselves. It is important for newborns that their temperature remains around 37 degrees, and that they do not become too cold or too warm. Therefore, a kapok baby mattress is the perfect choice for newborns. The fiber quickly reaches body temperature and helps the child regulate warmth. Another advantage of choosing a kapok mattress is that the kapok fiber is resistant to mites, such as dust mites. They like to live in a humid environment, but since the kapok fiber does not absorb moisture, dust mites cannot live in a kapok fiber. Furthermore, our kapok is 100% organic without the addition of chemicals, pesticides, etc. You can safely put your little one on our kapok mattress, knowing that your child is lying on a 100% hypoallergenic mattress.

CREATE A HEALTHY SLEEP ENVIRONMENT WITH KAPOK

Getting a good night's sleep is important for our health. Especially for newborns and babies who sleep 12-15 hours a day! Therefore, we believe it is important to find the sleep products that suit the child's preferences and needs. When you choose sleep products filled with kapok fibers, you are guaranteed a pleasantly tempered and dry night's sleep, with both an organic and hypoallergenic product. To provide your child with the best possible comfort during sleep, you can choose to add a kapok mattress pad to your kapok baby mattress. A kapok mattress is firm, as recommended for newborns. But if you want to add a little extra softness and comfort, a kapok mattress pad is an obvious choice. To protect your kapok mattresses, we recommend using our organic jersey bed sheet. The fitted sheet is woven from 100% organic cotton without the addition of synthetic fibers. If you want to give your child a 100% organic and chemical-free night's sleep, you can also supplement with one of our baby duvets and pillows. All our series are 100% organic and chemical-free. See our duvet guide to find out which duvet and pillow your baby should have.

MAINTENANCE OF YOUR KAPOK MATTRESS

As with all mattresses, it is a good idea to stand the mattress on its side occasionally to air it out. If you have a bed with a solid base, you should be particularly careful to air the mattress regularly. These bed bases make it harder to transport moisture away from the mattress. Kapok transports moisture and heat away from the child, but if the moisture cannot escape from the bottom of the mattress, it gets trapped between the mattress and the solid base. In the worst case, mold spores can form under the mattress. Unfortunately, this can happen regardless of which mattress is used. Therefore, air the mattress once a week, or as needed.
