The kapok mattress fits the new Sebra junior bed with mattress dimensions of 90x200 cm. If desired, a softer mattress pad can be placed on top of the mattress to achieve even better ventilation around the body. Why choose kapok
The kapok fiber is known for its temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking properties. When you sleep on a kapok mattress, your bed will neither become damp, cold, nor too warm. Another advantage of choosing a kapok mattress is that the kapok fiber is resistant to mites, such as dust mites. They like to live in a humid environment, but since the kapok fiber does not absorb moisture, dust mites cannot live in a kapok fiber.

Maintenance of your kapok mattress
As with all mattresses, it is a good idea to stand the mattress on its side occasionally to air it out. If you have a bed with a solid base, you should be particularly attentive to airing the mattress regularly. These bed bases make it harder to transport moisture away from the mattress. Kapok transports moisture and heat away from the child, but if the moisture cannot escape from the bottom of the mattress, it gets trapped between the mattress and the solid base. In the worst case, this can lead to mold spores forming under the mattress. Unfortunately, this can happen regardless of the mattress used. Therefore, air the mattress once a week or as needed.
