Our baby insert is made entirely without pesticides, chemicals, and synthetic fibers. The kapok fiber in the baby insert will help regulate the excess heat around the child and transport the heat away, ensuring the child does not get too warm. To preserve the fibre structure and its properties as best as possible, we recommend only washing your kapok product if absolutely necessary. Your Cocoon kapok products have not been dyed or treated with chemicals, so there is no need to wash your new kapok product before use.
Kapok also contains a natural bitter substance, which makes the fibre, and therefore the products, naturally resistant to house dust mites and many bacteria. For this reason, it is rarely necessary to wash your kapok product unless a major accident has occurred in bed. For minor stains, we recommend spot cleaning only.
We recommend airing your kapok product from time to time to maintain a healthy and fresh sleeping environment.
