Summer is a wonderful season, but for both young and old, the warm summer nights can lead to restless sleep. Do you find that your child's all-year duvet is too warm? Then it will definitely be beneficial for you to replace your child's all-year duvet with a cool baby summer duvet.

Temperature-regulating

Merino wool is naturally breathable and is actually one of the most breathable materials available. Merino wool is an active fiber that reacts to changes in body temperature. In warm environments, wool feels up to twice as cool against the skin as synthetic materials. When the body gets warm, the wool dissipates the heat by absorbing moisture from the body and allowing it to evaporate through its fibers. Merino wool can absorb up to 35% moisture of its own weight without feeling wet or losing its temperature-regulating properties. This is particularly beneficial during warm summer nights when the body releases moisture to maintain its core temperature.

100% Organic

We use neither chemicals nor synthetically manufactured materials to produce your baby summer duvet with merino wool. The baby summer duvet has a cover of 100% organically certified cotton. We use long wool fibers, which are carded to create a light and airy baby summer duvet. We use only 100% natural and untreated merino wool, which is beneficial for both the environment and you, as you get the best and most natural baby summer duvet.

Antibacterial

We use 100% natural and untreated merino wool in our baby summer duvet. This means that we have not washed out the natural lanolin content from the wool. The natural lanolin content helps create an antibacterial environment in the merino wool, which dust mites, bacteria, and fungi cannot live in.

Baby Summer Duvet with Down or Merino Wool?

Several studies show that both children and adults sleep better with merino wool, amazing right?! Research shows that newborns sleep more peacefully in merino wool and are less likely to wake up and cry during the night. But adults also benefit greatly from sleeping with merino wool. Merino wool has significantly better temperature-regulating properties than other materials like down, which is often used for summer duvets. When choosing a good summer duvet, it is important to choose a duvet that is more regulating rather than insulating. As previously described, merino wool is one of the most breathable fibers available and is fantastic at adapting to your child's body temperature. When you choose a summer duvet with merino wool instead of a traditional summer duvet with feathers or down, you will find that the summer duvet with merino wool is much better at adapting to your child's core temperature than the down duvet. This is because a down duvet is more insulating rather than regulating. When you get warm under the duvet, you will find that your down duvet becomes damp. A feather or down duvet quickly becomes damp when you sweat, as feathers and down absorb the moisture. You will not experience this with a summer duvet with merino wool. Merino wool can absorb 35% moisture of its own weight without feeling damp. If you ask us, merino wool is an underrated and overlooked filling in duvets - especially summer duvets. Still in doubt? Do not hesitate to contact customer service for further guidance.
