What is a Mattress Protector?

Cocoon's mattress protector is placed on top of the mattress and under the regular bed sheet to achieve the best comfort for the child. The mattress protector is 100% Oeko-Tex certified, which means that the sheet does not contain residues of harmful chemicals that need to be washed away before use.

We recommend washing the sheet at 40 degrees, or a maximum of 60 degrees in case of accidents. Preferably choose a wash program for heavy laundry, as the sheet can become heavy when washed, and therefore some washing machines may have difficulty spinning the sheet. If it has not been possible to spin out the water in the first spin cycle, we recommend extra spinning. Note that the sheet can shrink by up to 8-10%.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF

You can either use regular neutral dish soap, which you rub on the stain, or our 100% natural stain remover.

We recommend using 2 tablespoons of soda crystals and adding them to the detergent compartment when using soapberries for white clothes.

HOW TO USE SOAPBERRIES

Washing nuts are quite simple to use. Each package comes with a couple of cotton bags, which the soapberries should be placed in. Once you've filled the bag with the desired number of soapberries, simply place the cotton bag in the washing machine with the dirty laundry. Voilà! The washing machine and soapberries do the rest! Looking for a more specific explanation? Here are our recommendations:

• Use 4 berries for a small wash with lightly soiled clothes
• Use 5-6 berries for a normally soiled wash
• Use 6-8 berries for heavily soiled laundry
• Use soapberries for washing at 30-60 degrees
• Soak the soapberries before short washes at 30 degrees
• Reuse the soapberries up to four times for washes under 60 degrees and one to two times at 60 degrees
